Do You Like This Name?
You’ll agree that this is the question many parents-to-be are asking around. They keep asking this same question over and over again for each name they are considering. But why?
Are they asking for approval?
I don’t know. But one thing is for sure: You cannot please all the people all the time. Because this is the kind of questions that makes the process to find a baby name more difficult than it needs to be. Think about it. There will always be people who will like the name you choose, and others who will not.
Should you simply stop asking for outside opinions? And consider the only ones whose opinions really matter are you and your partner?
I think outside voices can be useful if you’re not merely seeking for rebuttal or agreement. But to brainstorm fresh ideas.
